This wine is fruit of a collaboration with a branch of our family that cultivates its vines close to the Biondi Santi estate, crandle of the Sangiovese clone, known as "Brunello," benefits from one of the world's finest terroirs in this region. The soil in and around this village consists of a mix of clays, marine detritus, Pliocene sands, and Santa Fiora stones, which originated from the extinct volcano on Monte Amiata. The unique Alpine-Mediterranean climate creates late-ripening seasons, resulting in wines that age gracefully and exhibit the full bouquet, elegance and minerality.

Grape variety: Sangiovese Grosso (Brunello) 100 %

Vineyards: Selection by east Montalcino vineyards, altitude from 480 to 560 mslm

TASTING NOTES - The 2018 vintage presents a brilliant and vibrant color, reminiscent of dark ruby tones found in an ancient jewel. The aroma reveals a kaleidoscope of blood orange, black cherry, and faded rose. Hints of spices and autumnal forest notes create a profile characterized by finesse and depth, typical of a Burgundy red. Upon tasting, the terroir asserts itself through an energetic and saline sip, while the freshness of the 2018 vintage imparts elegance and balance. The refined tannic structure and rounded palate evoke memories of a model of Renaissance perfection.
